ACRA Places Advocacy Tools at Your Fingertips
November 3, 2023
The American College of Radiology Association® (ACRA®) Radiology Advocacy Network (RAN) provides American College of Radiology® (ACR®) members with tools and resources to help advocate at the state and federal levels. We remind all ACR chapters that the RAN exists to provide a myriad of resources and opportunities for involvement and support.
For members, tools and resources include:
- Radvocacy website — a one-stop shop for all your advocacy needs.
- Advocacy webinars — quarterly webinars on advocacy updates and best practices for advocacy.
- Quarterly Newsletter.
- Site Visits from members of Congress.
- RADVOCATE Leader Certificate — for members interested in a stronger understanding and expertise in critical components of advocacy.
- Social media engagement through @ACRRAN.
- Advocacy specific to your current practice or education level:
- Pre-Radiology RAN — medical students.
- RFS RAN — residents and fellows.
- YPS RAN — members within their first 8 years of practice or below age 40.
We also have tools and resources specifically available for state chapters, including:
- Calls to Action (CTA) — legislative alerts for both state and federal advocacy.
- If your state needs to garner support for a state issue or piece of legislation, we can support your efforts by creating a CTA that will go to your chapter members.
If you are interested in getting involved through the RAN or in advocacy, contact Melody Ballesteros, American College of Radiology® Assistant Director of Government Relations.
